During 2024 a volunteer committee set out to explore possibilities as to what the future could hold.

June 2, 2026
The time was spent brainstorming the possibility for a "Wow" event that would help people know we are open and welcoming. Any ideas should be submitted to Keith by Tuesday, June 9.

Phone will be purchased for the church

Rick is going ahead with the hose bib for outdoor watering. Money for the plumber will come from the Change for Change donations.

Is there a "wow" project that will help us? There was some discussion.

Items discussed and in progress:

Crabgrass/weed prevention will be applied to the lawn.

Work continues on a retaining wall on the west side of the cemetery.

Students from Hartford High School will be at the church. Rick plans to oversee some plantings around the church sign.

More work is being done on the water backup in the basement.

Allen and Rick will pump the cistern now that there was a lot of rain.

Getting a quote for a hose bib outside.

Jean is working on a thermometer for the Change for Change project.

Rodents/Spiders--Allen and Keith are supplying traps for indoors; the outdoor traps will be checked for poison supplies.

A phone (and phone number) will be procured and set up.

A plaque is being ordered for the Richard Schmidt Memorial Window restoration.

A new feather flag and pole will be purchased by Melissa.
April 11, 2026
The restored church window, in memory of Richard
Schmidt, was returned to FPCR, installed and looks
beautiful. Unfortunately, the storm window which
was shipped did not fit properly. Rick is working
to get a storm window and will update the FPCR
family.
